IAN M
Born in Ashton under Lyne in Tameside, Ian has survived more than 30 years in South Africa's indie club scene, spanning the 80s, 90s and 00s, proving that neither questionable fashion choices nor obscure record collections are necessarily fatal.
His radio journey began on a nationally broadcast show in the 80s and continued into internet radio in 2013, largely because nobody told him when to stop.
He is the immensely proud father of two grown, fully functional, fully house trained daughters who assure him that while he is no longer cool, he remains cool adjacent.
Ian firmly believes life should be a musical. Unfortunately, the rest of society refuses to cooperate. He also subscribes to a simple theory of music: there are only two genres, Good and Bad. Coincidentally, he decides which is which.
You can hear Ian every Thursday and Sunday from 9pm

JUSTIN H
Music has always been part of Justin’s DNA. From listening to the radio as a kid or music in the house in South Africa, to picking up a guitar in primary school, the passion for music has never faded. From discovering local bands to experiencing international artists, it’s always been about one thing: the music.
Now based in the UK after making the move from South Africa in 2018, Justin brings that lifelong love of music to the airwaves, serving up a rebellious mix of rock, punk, indie and alternative classics spanning the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s.
Mixtape Rebel is more than just a collection of songs. It can fire up a party, take you straight back to a moment in time, bring back memories you thought you'd forgotten, or spark a conversation with a complete stranger.
Expect big tunes, old-school attitude, a little rebellion and plenty of tracks that deserve to be cranked up loud. No rules, just great music, good vibes and a shared love of the songs that stay with us.
Mixtape Rebel is on every Wednesday night from 9pm

BEV CARR
Bev has been a music fan since she was a young child. Her tastes range from rock (The Darkness especially) to classical and everything in between but her ultimate passion is 80’s/90’s hi-nrg, which she fell in love with at the gay clubs in the mid-80s. Bev is also a big fan of 90’s dance.
"I taught myself to mix about 17 years ago, and I’ve produced mixes for many radio stations. I don’t always profess to get it right, but I’ll keep on doing it as it is a total addiction for me!"
Catch Bev's Weekend Vibes every Friday from 4pm.

STEVE PALMER
Steve spent 8 years on hospital radio, not only presenting and producing his shows, but you would often find him on the wards chatting with the patients, and personally collecting his song requests!
He is a huge Rugby Union fan, and also follows the football, but doesn't support any league teams, he only follows England in both sports.
His favourite genres of music are Soul, Motown, and the 80's & 90's.
Steve is on iCON Radio every Friday from 3pm with his 80's show, and every Sunday at 6pm for the 90's
